The 9th edition of the Chess World Cup will be taking place in Sochi, Russia, from 12 July to 6 August 2024. A total of 206 players will participate in the world. For the first time, the female world cup will be held in which 103 players will participate. The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has increased the Chess World Cup 2024 prize money to $1,892,500, while the winners will make $110,000.

Chess World Cup 2024 Prize Money
The total prize money for the Chess World Cup 2024 is $1,892,500. It will be distributed round-wise, and the eliminated players will get the prize after a 20% deduction as per the FIDE rule.
