Do you know the salary of Bangladesh cricket players? How much do Bangladesh players earn monthly? Who is the highest-paid Bangladesh cricket player? Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the Bangladesh Cricket Players Salaries for the 2024-22 season. Bangladesh Cricket Board is the governing body of the Bangladesh national cricket team, which is also popularly known as the “Tigers”. Let’s look at the Bangladesh Cricketers Salary along with the complete match fees.

The BCB has decided to increase the salary of Bangladesh cricketers for the honing season, which was quite surprising as most of the board have reduced the players’ salaries due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

BCB is a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and the Bangladesh team plays all formats of cricket, including Test, ODI and T20I. When we talk about glamour and richness in cricket, Indian Cricketers usually take most of the dominance and standard because all know BCCI is the richest cricket board in the world.

On the other hand, India is a cricket-loving nation, and that creates more popularity and humour. But wait, another subcontinental country, Bangladesh, has a craze of cricket like any other cricket freak nation.

Bangladesh Cricketers Salary

BCB tried to hike the salaries and give contractual monthly payments to the 17 players before 2024. But from 2019, BCB increased the number of players. However, now 17 cricketers are getting contractual payments and monthly salaries.

Whereas, the Bangladesh government a few months back only increased the pay scale of all govt employees. However, that includes all the Bangladesh cricketers. At the same time, all the Ex-Bangladesh cricketers who played for Bangladesh will get a monthly pension.

Bangladesh Cricketers Salary 2024-22

All the 17 players who got the Central Contracts by BCB are divided into Category A+, Category A, B, and Rookie categories. Apart from central contracts, every playing XI cricketer will earn a match fee: BDT 3 lakh per Test, BDT 2 lakh per ODI and BDT 1.25 lakh per T20I. The captain of Bangladesh gets BDT 20,000 per match.

Distribution of Annual Player Contracts:

Category A+: Mashrafe Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah.

Category A: Imrul Kayes, Mustafizur Rahman and Rubel Hossain

Category B: Taijul Islam, Mehidy Hasan, Liton Das and Mominul Haque

Category C: Abu Haider Rony, Abu Jayed Rahi, Mohammad Saifuddin, Nayeem Hasan and Syed Khaled Ahmed

BD Players Monthly Salary:

Category A+: BDT 4 lakh/month

Category A: BDT 3 lakh/month

Category B: BDT 2 lakh/month

Category C: BDT 1 lakh/month

The Bangladeshi Cricketers get paid according to the which category grade they belong to. All the Bangladesh players come under these A+, A, B, C and D grades. BCB has 17 cricketers signed under the BCB contracts. Bangladesh team Captain gets an extra 20,000/- TK than other team members, and Vice-captain also get an extra 10,000/- TK than other players.

Whereas every Bangladesh cricketers earn huge amounts from ODI and Test cricket matches. Each Bangladesh Cricketer gets a 3 lakh match fee for an International Test, a 2 lakh match fee for ODI and a 1 lakh match fee for a T20 cricket format.

Apart from match fees, players got special rewards for their performances. E.g. like for a century, five-wicket haul, half-century, Man of the match, and for maximum sixes also.

There is a total of four players in the “A+” grade that includes captain Mashrafe Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim & Shakib Al Hasan. However, Mahmudullah Riyad only one player in the “A” grade.

Whereas, In the grade “B”, a total of five players come under it. Although in “C” & “D” grades includes two and three players, respectively.

Bangladesh State Minister of Youth and Sports Sri Biren Sikder stated that every Bangladesh cricketer yearly earns 50 lakhs to 60 lakhs yearly. Look at the list of Bangladesh cricketers list with their per month salary income.

The player’s salaries have been increased 10 to 20%, but it differs from player to player, and the exact figure is yet to be confirmed by the BCB.
